Note About Monthly Missions
The only missions that require approval are unlimited missions! If you are creating a Monthly Mission just go ahead and post it as you would any other thread but using this thread name template.
Monthly Mission Name [Name of the Person who Created the Thread.]
Unlimited Mission Approval Template Name of the Mission: (The name of your unlimited mission.) Mission Difficulty: (The difficulty of your mission.) Mission Month: (The month of when the mission was created!) Faction Limit: (An optional section if players would like to set a limit on what factions of characters can join, or what schools if you are doing a student mission. This is not required and if you aren't using it, feel free to set this to "No Limits" or delete it from the approval entirely!) Number of Players: (There is no limit to how many players can be in a single mission, though you can set one yourself here. If you have no limit go ahead and set it to "Unlimited" or delete the section entirely.) Player Names: (The names of all participating members.) Mission Description: (A summary of what your mission will entail, we would like this to give a vivid understanding of the threat level of your mission, how it has come about, and generally what the goal of your mission will be!)

Regardless of the character growth requires proof as to how and why they are growing! Thus we require that every upgrade be submitted alongside proof of character progression in the form of threads where your character is actively using their quirk, skills, and/or support gear! While the proof can vary from sitting in the support tech lab with a support gear expert and finding out how to upgrade your gear, to using your quirk to the point of its limit, one thing stays true and that's active use equals active growth! For a quirk to grow it needs to be performed to its limit, and or practiced to the point of enhancement. This growth can happen over time, or maybe a extraordinary event pushes your character beyond their limits. The same could be said for skills, practice makes perfect after all!
While we generally go by this system of proof for most characters, we know that some others will want to plan when they grow ahead of time and we ask then that those who would like a unique upgrade path for their quirk, skill, or support gear include this list of growth moments within their locker room and go for its approval within the locker room! This will serve as guidelines for the staff who review your progression threads to see that you are achieving your personal goals, but obviously doesn't guarantee you growth if staff finds your personal growth points have yet to be hit or if they feel that they don't match the requirements meant to grow to the next level.
Upgrades will be handled on a case by case basis and the threads will be looked over to see if you meet the needs meant to reach the next level! As there is no set in stone list, feel free to apply whenever you personally feel that your character meets the requirements for advancing to the next level as long as they have the necessary EXP to do so! For any questions about this system feel free to contact staff through the appropriate means.

Upgrades on Heroism-Reignited take the form of rank-ups for quirks, skills, and support gear! The requirements for upgrading one of the three to the next level vary from character to character but boil down to the simplest answer of active use. Whether it is your character using their quirk proactively to save people through it's fiery blasts, or healing people in need through your medical prowess. Simply upgrading something requires both IC proof of progression on a character as well as the necessary EXP on that character to rank up to the next level! Experience can be gained in a wide variety of ways from the bi-monthly upgrade period to the two mission systems we have in place on site! For more information on how to gain experience points please see here. To apply for upgrades use the EXP numbers below to determine what you have enough EXP to upgrade into, and gather your IC proof via threads and missions to justify your upgrade! Once you've determined you have everything necessary for an upgrade post the upgrade to your character's locker room using the upgrade template filling out all the necessary information. Once you've filled out the upgrade template submit your upgrade with a link to your character's locker room via the Contact-Staff section of our discord and we'll review it as soon as we can!

We understand that some players would like a greater level of freedom about how their character grows and the type of encounters they go about experiencing, and so comes in the Unlimited Mission System. These missions are applied for through the mission board and are approved by staff before they can be participated in! The types of plots that these missions encompass are generally determined by the difficulty of the mission, and so with it are the rewards that players gain for doing them. To apply for a mission via the Unlimited Mission System fill out the template found within the Mission Approvals board and submit it for review in the Contact-Staff section of the discord. After you and the people you did the mission with are finished submit it for review in the Mission Reviews board and post it on our Contact-Staff section of the discord to get reviewed! After review you all will receive the reward for completing the mission. Easy Missions (50 EXP): These missions typically encompass the general tolls and struggles of an average hero school student, as well as the common person. Missions like this can include things like a intense training session in school, a small-time job by a villain such as petty theft, the stopping of a small time criminal by a vigilante or hero, or an intense experience by a civilian, for just a few examples. It isn't uncalled for the stakes of a easy missions to increase over the course but generally it is a rather safe environment that poses minimal risks to those involved, though there are plenty exceptions and mission approvals are handled on a case by case basis. Medium Missions (100 EXP): These missions typically encompass the more extraordinary circumstances players may find themselves in and are usually less common than an easy mission. Missions like this include a hands on lesson with a teacher by a student, a more dangerous villain job like a robbery or assault on an individual, a vigilante or hero stopping a small-time villain attack, or a civilian getting caught up in a villain attack and having to survive. Things like this serve as mere examples of things that would be categorized under the role of a medium missions but players are allowed creative freedom as to what it could entail. Seeing as these situations fall under the more extraordinary of circumstances players are limited to 2 medium missions per character per month, any after this point will net half experience meaning doing a medium mission after 2 will only net a player 50 EXP. Much like easy missions approvals are on a case by case basis and are open to plenty cross-faction interaction! Hard Missions (150 EXP): These missions typically encompass circumstances that go past extraordinary and fall under the category of deadly often involving interactions with high-level characters against equally high-level opponents, these missions typically pose a threat to more than just those that participate in them. Hard missions are often events so big that they will fall under current events and make public spectacle, students may get caught up in the crossfire of a major villains attack, heroes and vigilantes may be trying to stop the villains onslaught, civilians will be trying to survive and help out in the ways they can, and finally villains may be the catalyst of the rampage. It is rare that such an event goes out of the public eye and being such a major event they are limited to 1 per month per character, any after that will net half experience meaning they will only provide 75 EXP. The difficulty system provides a way for players to participate in rather extreme events with their characters, and each will go through the approval of staff before they can be actively participated in. The missions above easy each have an upper limit as to how many that can be performed per character, but they can still be performed after though in those cases they are only provided half experience. This system allows players to grow as fast as they want and gives them ample things to do if they finish their monthly missions for that month, or if they just want plenty freedom in how they gain their experience. For any questions about this system feel free to contact staff through the appropriate channels.

Each month there will be a curated set of missions that players can actively participate in, these missions will cover a wide-range of topics relating to the site plot and usually have a simple prompt for players to follow. Players aren't required to use the prompt and can instead make it about something that generally fits the same theme as the monthly mission, and the plot can be skewed into any which way the players so desire as long as it generally fits the difficulty level of the original mission. Monthly missions are designed into four categories: Story Missions, Faction Missions, General Missions, and Low-Point Missions. To join a mission simply use the template provided in each monthly mission to post within the mission approvals section of the mission board to apply for an approval after filling out all the necessary steps contact us via Contact-Staff and we will review it at once! Once a mission is approved go ahead and start it as you would any other thread, once you and the people you have decided to thread with have completed it go ahead and submit it into the mission reviews board as you would an approval using the template found within and submit it for review within the Contact-Staff section of the discord! Story Missions (150 EXP): Story missions are those that are directly tied to the overall site plot, and actively influence the world around them! These missions will almost always fit into the current site plot and will likely be listed after completion within the Current Events. Overall these missions are usually open to many different factions operating within them at once and provides ample opportunity for characters of different factions to interact with each other, opening up all kinds of possibilities for cross-faction interference and cohesion. Faction Missions (100 EXP): Faction missions are those that are directly tied to the faction of your character and there will be one designed for each faction. These missions allow for characters within a singular faction to operate with each other and build a foothold for their achievements in a particular field. However, this doesn't mean that other factions can't participate in other groups but often there would be different circumstances than what is provided in the mission template for something like that to occur! Schools as well may interact with each other during a faction mission so these are great opportunities for different schools to interact with one another! General Missions (100 EXP): General missions are quite open-ended and can refer to many a thing that happens in a particular month. These are often missions personalized around a group of characters or a singular character and often give players a chance to pursue plot points that otherwise they may have not been able to pursue through the regular missions, and are often the most liable to customization. Need a plot where you have to rescue your dog from a villain? That would fall under a general mission! Being as they are mainly for character specific development, General Missions give but a summary of how the current state of the world is and players are allowed to design it around anything of their choosing! If you would instead like to do a prompt from a staff member for your general mission you can instead contact one of the staff for help with designing one! Low-Point Missions (100 EXP): Low-point missions exist to provide a comeback mechanic for players who have fallen behind or ended up on hiatus, and generally provide an opportunity to catch up to those who may have grown far-ahead of you! The low end of what is considered low-point will grow with time providing new members a chance to catch up to those who have been here awhile while also not squandering the activity of our current members. The plot of a low-point mission tends to be extraordinary events that befall your character during their period of inactivity, or extra training that pushes them beyond what they were doing previously. These plots much like general missions are completely up to player creativity and provide much in the way of freedom as to how your character catches up to their peers! If you are having trouble with thinking up a plot for your mission feel free to contact staff via our discord and they can help you in coming up with an idea for your low-point mission! Monthly missions have no post or word counts and typically are finished up to player interpretation, that said each monthly mission should close off the situation that is brought up within it and should generally be considered "done." Player activity within these can vary, but players cannot go AFK and claim rewards when they are completed unless their characters are completely knocked out or have to leave for an extended period of time. Each monthly mission will be reviewed by staff after completion and points will be distributed after review. Each character can only perform each type of monthly mission once per month, meaning they can typically perform up to three monthly missions a month unless able to perform a low-point mission. This system provides ample rewards for those active enough to perform them, and generally provides more intense roleplaying scenarios for those who do them!

bi-monthly upgrade system Heroism-Reignited uses a bi-monthly upgrade system that accounts for the time that your character is actively growing with the world around them! These experience points are distributed to every character on site regardless of activity in the form of 100 EXP. To claim the free bi-monthly experience players most check into that months activity check that will be performed via a thread on site! This thread will be linked with an announcement for all of those with the announcement tag on the discord and players will be given till the end of the month the thread is posted in to claim the experience. This EXP can then be spent on any upgrades or new skills/support gear that you have the progression proof for. That said there are a handful of ways that you can get additional EXP during the bi-monthly upgrade period. Players may also actively forgo this experience if they so choose by not checking into the activity check that is needed to claim the free experience on the character they'd wish to avoid the passive growth on for whatever reason.
One of the ways players can gain additional experience points on-site is by performing 10 posts on a specific character for that week, if the players post at least 10 new thread posts on a character within the two months leading up to the next bi-monthly upgrade period they are entitled to an additional 50 EXP. These posts must be made for threads, and cannot be any other form of post. This additional EXP can be claimed on any number of characters as long as each of them achieve the 10 posts needed to claim it. On top of this students who go to any of the hero schools will be provided a further additional 50 EXP, regardless of activity.
Bi-Monthly Upgrade Flat Bonus - 100 EXP
Bi-Monthly Upgrade for 10 Thread Posts - 50 EXP
Bi-Monthly Upgrade for Hero Students - 50 EXP
Events may also affect how much experience is given out during the bi-monthly upgrade period and any additional ways to gain experience will be announced via the announcements channel of our discord.
If a player misses a particular activity check, or has to take an extended hiatus they may see a staff member upon their return and let them know why they were missing, or that they had to miss the period for reasons they'd not like to state and are entitled to reclaim any experience they missed. These are handled on a case to case basis and not everyone is entitled to reclaiming lost experience.
This system allows those with multiple characters to still actively grow with the world even if the player themselves get busy or can't handle doing missions on each of their select characters. If there are any questions about this system feel free to contact staff within our discord server!

Introduction: experience points Here on Heroism-Reignited we track character growth through the use of character based experience points. EXP can be spent on things such as upgrades to skills, quirks, and support gear as well as the acquisition of new skills and support gear! These experience points can be earned in a variety of ways ranging from a bi-monthly upgrade period where all of your characters grow over time, monthly missions that relate to the story and give your characters active chances to participate in the plot and gain EXP for doing so, and finally unlimited missions that while providing less experience than the monthly missions are able to be done infinitum.
Experience points have no upper limit meaning you can save as much experience as you want and wait until a later point to spend it on upgrades. These upgrades can be filed through each of your characters' individual locker rooms and then approved via contacting staff in the Contact-Staff section of our discord! To get your upgrades approved there has to be examples of your characters growth thus far in the form of progression! This proof of progress can come in the form of threads where your character actively uses an ability or quirk, or in the form of goals that you set for your character's growth though these lists of growth must be approved by staff upon character creation.
This experience point system is meant to give players both passive ways to gain EXP while giving those who wish to actively participate for their character's growth an outlet to do so! If there are any questions about this system please contact any of the staff on our discord and they'd be happy to help explain it to you! Suggestions can also be made within the suggestions tab of our discord, and questions can also be made through the questions tab of our discord!
