Downtown Okayama has a wide variety of activities for the night goer, with several bars and arcades lining their downtown district. While many of them are against students going out late at night, they are more than hospitable for those with the money to enjoy them.

Restaurants also line downtown Okayama and the soft paper lanterns give a warm glow to those walking under them providing a cozy atmosphere late in the afternoon. There are stores that mostly provide in handcrafted goods and it isn't uncommon to find merchants peddling goods off their backs to wanderers.

Some like to say that downtown Okayama is home to Yokai but that is more myth than truth, but it isn't uncommon to find people cosplaying as these Yokai as a hobby finding employment with the Blackbird Theatre if their acts are especially astonishing.

The top-rated hero school in all of West Japan, Shiketsu is one of the few schools to truly stand to rival U.A.. Holding a strong pride in its historic roots as being one of the first hero schools in all of Japan, even before U.A., they are quite firm about holding to the traditions that have held precedent for so long with strict rules encompassing that. Their school is located on top of the hills that overlook downtown Okayama, and it isn't an uncommon sight to see some of their students in downtown proudly touting their hats, or breaking curfew to enjoy one of the many curtain arcades of the shopping district.
