Kazuyuki would much rather prefer to left somewhat in the background. He doesn’t like attention, nor does he seek it, which could be ironic given his choice in career. Regardless, Kazuyuki is a nice young man. He is polite and kind to most all that he meets, never really trying to be rude unless someone mistreated him first.
A shy overall demeanor has left him to be seen as distant by most. Throughout his childhood, he was often seen as simply the quiet kid. He doesn’t mind it, at least not as much as he used to. He is rather mature for someone his age, but the truth lies in that he had to grow up rather fast. Though, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to be happy. Certainly, when prompted or given the right reasons, he can smile and he can laugh, and really it doesn’t take much at all to get him to do so.
He is diligent in his studies, always prioritizing his academics over all else. Though he isn’t one for physical activity, he’s learned to make himself handle the training and the physical exertion that is required of a hero and that of Seijin. Kazuyuki, like so many youths of the day, idolizes heroes and wants to bring justice to the world with a great confident smile. Though, he realizes that he is a long way away from ever reaching such a goal.
He seems to get nervous when being spoken to directly. He is rather soft-spoken, and when most often disturbed, he speaks with a slight stutter. While he does prefer his time alone, he would like to make friends, even if he still has trouble approaching most others. He is like most average teens, he enjoys idol bands and fashion, going to cute cafes and playing video games. He loves ice cream and most sweet desserts, and also enjoys longs walks in nature.
Due to the nature of his quirk, Kazuyuki does prefer cold places. Winter is his favorite season and he often states that the cold never really bothers him. Conversely, he hates summer and the unbearable heat it brings.
There is an overall melancholy to Kazuyuki that only the most astute would notice. Even while generally friendly, he seems to hold himself back from others. His eyes go dark at even the mentioning of villains, revealing a chilling persona he can’t seem to hold in. This is something overall cold about the young man, and it is certainly more than just his quirk. Kazuyuki has his secrets and his feelings are not things that he often shares freely with others. Perhaps he is rather lonely at heart and perhaps his friendly smile is only there for appearances.

Kazuyuki is a youth with handsome features and an overall slim physique. His hair is naturally two-toned, dark black with snow-white highlights. His eyes are magenta pink and are rather expressive. He has a clear, light complexion with little to no scars on his most visible skin. He stands at an unassuming stature of 5’7 (170 cm) with room to grow.
When at school he is most normally found in his Seijin uniform. He wears it neatly and naturally keeps up his appearance. His more casual attire is rather fashionable, as he dabbles in what the latest idols and celebrities enjoy wearing and he keeps himself occupied with good outfits and the like. He most often prefers sweaters and oversized shirts, things that would be both comfortable and stylish. And notably, clothes that would be more often described as ‘winter’ attire,such as gloves and scarves. His color palette is nominally black and white, with dashes of other colors. A noticeable piece of jewelry that he nearly always can be found wearing is a unique double-banded ring on his middle finger, the steel in colored black with some intricate design. Kazuyuki himself describes it as a 'family heirloom.'
HISTORY
Kazuyuki is the son of a villain.
His mother is known as the Yuki-Onna, the Snow Lady, who once terrorized Japan by freezing her victims to near death and causing destructive snowdrifts in the countryside. Once upon a time, the Yuki-Onna fell in love for a moment.
She had a son who bore the same affinity for the cold as she did. But the love of a child was not enough to keep her from her life of crime and terror. She left her son and the father, only to be finally arrested years later.
Today, the Yuki-Onna is a caged white bird. And her son still lives in her legacy.
Kazuyuki never became aware of his mother’s identity until later in life. But he always seemed to know, to ask the right questions, to be suspicious of who he was. Even when he was a toddler, he always preferred the cold. His father would never tell him, but a young Kazuyuki always knew, his coldness came from his mother.
As he grew up, his childhood was relatively normal, rather boring even. His single father was a post-man who rode his bike delivering letters and packages all day long. They were a small family who lived together in the city. Kazuyuki grew up without want of many things, but he was mostly humbled and learned valuable lessons from his father. From simple things like cooking and cleaning to more complex ideas, like kindness and sincerity. He wasn’t a bad kid, he was just a quiet one.
There seemed to be something missing from Kazuyuki’s life, something he never could quite place himself. Like many youths of his day, Kazuyuki idolized and adored heroes. But his admiration came at a distance, with the questions of his true identity still nagging at his mind. If truly he was the child of a villain, then how could he ever be a hero?
It was one day going through old boxes in the storage room, Kazuyuki found a small box. Newspaper clippings, articles telling of the terrors of the Yuki-Onna, the villain who took her name from the old tale of the Lady in the Snow. Something clicked in him, the sudden feeling of a cold chill he couldn’t shake. He found a ring in the box, double-banded with some decorative markings. He wears the ring to this day, a gentle reminder of who he comes from and who he swears he will never become.
He decided upon Seijin as his hero school. He preferred unconventional, and the Ninja Academy certainly was. His father didn’t stop him, but was of course, apprehensive about his son’s decision to try for heroics. Nonetheless, he supported him in his endeavors. Seijin proved himself capable enough to become a student and today is a member of Seijin’s class 1-A.

QUIRK: Flurry

QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Flurry originates from a Kazuyuki's breathe, with special organs in his throat and lungs that create freezing temperatures and allows for the generation of snow and ice. Kazuyuki's overall body temperature is lower than that of an average human. The strength of Kazuyuki's cryokinetic abilities is often in relation to his control of breath as only when he exhales can he generate freezing temperature in the air. Kazuyuki's Flurry can reach distances up to 20-30 m away from him, effectively covering most surface areas in a layer of thin frost and ice and freezing small objects entirely. When using his breathe to freeze objects, Kazuyuki can cause Silver level frostbite injuries. After 2 posts standing of in his breath, people will start feeling numb. After 3 posts, they experience First Degree Frostbite around the size of the palm of a hand.
Though Kazuyuki became familiar with his quirk at a young age, he has been working hard to refine it. Within the most recent years has been able to extend the control of his breath. Some of his more basic use of his quirk has come in the in a form of 'shooting icicles' from his mouth. Kazuyuki will take a bit of water, super freeze it in his mouth and then shoot it out, similar to blow darts or arrows. The icicles are roughly the size of a pencil or around 6 in (15 cm). The icicles can cause piercing damage, such as minor cuts on flesh (Silver Level Damage).
Kazuyuki can use his quirk for a 5 post time limit.
QUIRK DRAWBACKS: Overexcessive use of Flurry leads to Kazuyuki's throat quite literally 'freezing up,' having him experience a symptom similar to asthma attack that inhibits his ability to talk or even breathe. The severity of the attack depends on how much Kazuyuki overextended the use of his Quirk.
Furthermore, Kazuyuki often struggles to use his quirk in dry, arid environments or the heat. His quirk mostly works with the humidity in the air, and being too hot or dehydrated can actually cause him to be quite sick.

SKILL DESCRIPTION: Following in the training given by Seijin, Kazuyuki is proficient in the various ninja arts taught by the school. Kazuyuki's personal weapon of choice is that of a blowdart or blow gun, as it very similar in function to one of the ways he employs the use of his quirk in shooting icicles from his mouth.
