“I’ve been here! What do you mean?” Shimizu tilted her head to the side, looking her friend up and down before giving a small lopsided smile. She found that Akiza always said the funniest things. Never did she ever make a lick of sense anyway. But then without much input herself, she found herself being pulled off to the cafeteria. Shimizu wasn’t hungry. In fact, it was probably safe to say she was never hungry. But leave it up to Akiza to put some veiled attempt to make sure she has eaten by literally checking her dorm room first. They opened the door to the cafeteria and then….Fwooooshh!!! There are times Shimizu was quiet. The sheer potent substainous of an event leaving her as speechless as she started. Oh.
It’s a fire. The dewdrop user took a slow and steady breath, dewdrops bubbling and lifting up towards the air. Swirling, spinning, combining before quickly forming a blanket of water over the fire. She tilted her head slightly as the dewdrops and flames sizzled away, leaving only the smoke and burnt dreams behind. Shimizu took a deep breath, giving a bright smile as she waved enthusiastically over to the Queen of Rabbits in the kitchen. “Rion! Are you okay? Is the food okay?” The lack of sarcasm in her voice could only make her entire situation feel all the more disquieting.
There was a long pause in Shimizu’s mind as she casually walked up to the water fountain and took a drink; lest she even care about the event that such happened. “Oh! Akiza, are you okay? Did you see the fire?” Her brain moved around and clicked like a strange, mismatched puzzle that somehow, against all odds, had similar pieces.

Shimizu stared out at the setting summer sun; its blinding rays dwindled into the background, stretching out with its last dying breath to reach over the tall stretch of buildings between it. It was rare the girl was ever just quiet anymore. Distracted? Yes. Tired? Absolutely. But quiet was something new. Something strange. She folded her legs up onto the chair as she fiddled with the fork in her hand. So many questions crossed her mind, so very little actually led back to anything truly meaningful. Perhaps that’s why it was quiet- the way that endless feeling was suffocating to the point of stealing the breath itself from her lines of thought. Tick...tick...tick….Shimizu poked her fork down into the cake in front of her abruptly, slowly standing up as she could only watch.
Watch as the sun died down, and they were finally engulfed in the full night’s embrace.
And then she woke up. Her eyes scanned across the ceiling of her dorm room far far away from the little space in the nearby cafe she frequented at. It replayed in her head like a sick rerun of the same old movies. The sound of the fan whizzing in the background and the beating of her heart became her only company; the strange lonely reprieve that came from the endless silence that surrounded her. Shimizu rubbed the back of her head, rustling the tangled knots in her hair before she stumbled out of bed and grabbed her brush off her desk. It didn’t make sense to her. Well, the dewdrop user was used to that being the case at this point anyway.
Perhaps it was the warm summer sunset or the slight smell of rose petals on the wind, but she found herself meandering across Seiai’s campus; burying her hands in her pockets as she moved, staring up at the clouds above. She watched as the crowds separated themselves into different groups, colors in a crayon box separating into distinct categories with no sign of mixing. More things she didn’t understand. More things no one bothered to explain. Shimizu moved her gaze to the ground, quietly humming to herself as she hopped from tile to tile, mind numbingly just trying to pass the time.

On the surface, Shimizu Mizuyuri is a person of few true worries in life. Often seen cloud gazing out a window or eating sweets at a cafe, most would assume she was your average, easy to get along with sort of person. On many occasions, this is the case with her calm, yet optimistic personality giving her any easy segway to talk to people.
Beyond the cute, optimistic act however, is someone who just doesn’t get it. Whether it’d be sarcasm or the latest slang, she can’t seem to grasp this “strange” , “complex” new thing that everyone is using. Social cues don’t come naturally to her and everything is always taken at face value regardless of the actual meaning. Things just go over her head and she isn’t quite sure how to catch it.
Unsurprisingly, this aloof, dense girl is also extremely uncoordinated; tripping her own feet, walking into poles. If she is injured in any way, it is customary to assume that the ever affable Shimizu did it to herself. It is times like that make others question how she possibly passed the practical exam, let alone get into Seiai Academy.
What most don’t realize is how much this ball of sunshine actually despises the sun...or heat in general. Getting dehydrated extremely easily, she often avoids physical activity in general to avoid passing out and possibly injuring herself. The sun is just another enemy of her quirk that she feels she has to fight. Some joke that she is quitting one school away from becoming a full on NEET. Shimizu doesn’t understand that joke.
She has a tendency to just lose her way. She starts walking somewhere...and just keeps going; usually missing her destination entirely unless accompanied by a more socially competent classmate. Joking that it’s someone else’s turn to babysit Shimizu is also very common. No, she doesn’t understand that one either.
Regardless of how incompetent she may seem or behave, Shimizu is actually extremely book smart, specializing in Trivia and other random facts. Her favorite subject is Math and she enjoys reading textbooks as a hobby. She doesn’t like fantasy and Sci fi due to not understanding how they could possibly exist. However, she is frequently reading nonfiction and autobiographies. And yes, she has Hero information memorized.

Shimizu has long brown hair that has been partially section into a ponytail on the side of her head. She has bright blue eyes (as common in the Mizuyuri family) that seem to be completely distracted at all times. There are often small droplets if water around her finger tips extending up her arm.
She is usually seen wearing big poofy sweaters outside of her school uniform; though she also always complains that it is too hot. How she doesn’t see the connection, no one will know. The Mizuyuri family had specialized in water quirks for decades, often becoming known for their heroism around Japan. Because if this, it is customary that every member of the family would begin training of their quirk very shortly after they turn around four years old. And Shimizu quickly became no exception to this rule.
With her main drawback focused on dehydration, much of her training was spent outside on the sweltering heat, hoping to lessen her need for water as time goes on. However, as she grew older, the constant dehydration and overall ill-treatment of the child caused her to become hospitalized and eventually taken away by child protective services.
After being thrown around the foster system for many years, finding herself in different loving and some not so much households, her view on people and heroes started to become jaded. She didn’t understand how people could say one thing and mean another. However, she was eventually picked up by the Bubble Catch Hero; Semicolon.
Semicolon, less commonly known as Aito Betoyama, reignited her trust in people. Though not always the most present parent, the dewdrop user would always be greeted at home with a smile and somewhere safe to stay. Overtime, her view of heroes softened and she once again resumed her training to become one.
However, it wasn’t long after that Aito would find herself severely injured by a villain and forced to retire at the age of 31. Upset at the dangers of heroism, Shimizu almost once again quit all together. But after coming this far, she decided to try and become a hero that could save the people from such tragedies ever happening again.
And so, under tutelage of her grandmother, Eri Betoyama (better known as the Vigilante, Whirlpool), Shimizu began to train for the entrance exams for Seiai Academy and after all her hard work, constant studying, and overall just her doing her best, she eventually was able to become a student of the prestigious school. The user can then use the drops in different ways if manipulation depending on how far their imagination can shape it.She can hold the water droplets in the air for a total of 7 posts. From there she can use them like different weapons or barriers depending on how detailed she can imagine them. At the moment, there are only 5 she can do reliably.Formless: She doesn’t shape the water to really be anything and just tries to ram it into the opponent. This is usually ineffective and does minimal damage other than confusion.Spear: It has no added effects other than usually being more accurate. It can’t do much damage other than hit the opponent. The amount of damage it does is about hard enough to break through a wooden slab.Gun: The water forms around her and shoots little pellet-like shapes at her opponents.It is purely because she wants to look cool and mechanically no different than Spear. Barrier: She turns all of her droplets into one giant shield around her that can withstand one hit at the expense of losing them all for the rest of the thread. Water Balloon: The droplets all form together and ram at the opponent at the expense of losing all of her water droplets. It should hit around as hard to break through a brick slab.QUIRK DRAWBACKS: The dewdrops are a constant on Shimizu’s body and are constantly being fed by her own water intake. Because if this she gets dehydrated very easily and just using her quirk a little may cause her to feel dizzy and sick. After 7 posts she is very close to passing out.She how she levitates and controls the dewdrops are dependent on her breathing. Therefore, the calmer she is using her quirk, the better it can soar into the sky. However, due to this, she often feels a severe shortness of breathe and cannot be as physically active as most heroes.The limit to what Shimizu’s quirk can do is her imagination and Shimizu lacks that sort of mental recall if objects and thinking up not real things. This has severely stunted and limited her tool for what otherwise would be a very versatile quirk.
