When it comes to Yoko, some might even say shy is an understatement. It's probably more accurate to say she doesn't like talking. A kid that lives her life on the internet and almost exclusively talks through Speech Bubbles, she is someone who generally would do anything in her power to avoid talking to people. Whether it be small talk or something over all important, she really really doesn't want to be having this conversation right now. 

Talking to people gives Yoko anxiety. Well, she already had anxiety, it's more like that talking to people makes it worse. She starts panicking over the smallest things and every little action tends to feel like an momentous task to her. If she makes one mistake, she really beats herself up over it. Her own single mindedness often blinding her from easy solutions and messing herself up for what would usually not be a big deal. 

If you have a plan, regardless of how stupid she personally thinks it is, Yoko will follow it. Having zero confidence in her own plans, if you are sure enough, she has zero idea how could anyone do something without being 100% sure it's going to work. Because of this, she is prone to getting herself in 100% avoidable situations; being more scared of saying no then her own self preservation.

When all else fails, reading and playing puzzle games are the best way to calm down. From Tetris to Crossword, there is very little that Yoko doesn't indulge in during her downtime. She enjoys playing Shiritori with anyone nearby to pass the time and it is probably the only way to truly get a good conversation going with her. 

She loves researching different topics. From cultures to the history of Japan, there is very little that she doesn't indulge in studying. Yoko's love of history was a deciding factor when she decided to go to Seijin...though as inaccurate as their uniforms are, there isn't really a place for true Ninjas in modern Japan. Despite this, she finds the lost art extremely fascinating.

She has light pink hair that curls around her chin. Two short, blunt, horns split the top of her bangs. Yoko usually shaves her horns down every so often to make sure they are a not dangerous. She's super self conscious about her horns, so despite them not actually being dangerous, she still usually shaves them down. Her eyes are a bright pink, that she notes are very very inconvenient of a color. 

Her school uniform is a shade of navy blue, because she believes that true ninjas wear navy blue. She keeps it minimalist, only really her eyes showing through the outfit.

Yoko wasn't entirely sure where she came from, but as far as she could remember, it was just her and her dad. Whether it was a suppressed gay moment gone wrong or if he really wanted a kid, Yoko never really asked do the immense anxiety the question gave her. Even as a child, she knew that she overreacted about things other people just didn't and she had to live with that. 

When she was 10, her and her dad moved back in with the rest of her family...and what a colorful cast of people it was. They'd often make strange jokes or talk about something no child should ever hear- but eventually Yoko just got used it...or at the very least, she was too anxious to tell them to stop. In particular, she used to talk a lot to her Aunt Fleur. The way she used to talk and the things she said always seemed always out of left field...

But it was far more confident than she could pull off. She remembered seeing her Aunt Mirelle on the news once as a hero...Yoko all in all wasn't sure what to make of that either. And then Lucrece- All the while her father met all of this with a dismissive remark, saying that family was family and they were perfect the way they are. Unsure if this was at all normal, Yoko lost herself in looking up history facts online and talking in strange forums. 

On one of these forums, she met someone named Hibiki, who she became extremely close to. To this day, they talk for far too long everyday and over all just enjoy life together. One day, Hibiki said that she was going to go to Isamu to become a hero. Not wanting to be left behind, Yoko decided to enroll into Seijin- attracted by their Ninja aesthetic.

To this day, she has gathered more questions than answers, but she believes that one day it'll just sort itself out.

QUIRK: Word Fly

QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Yoko can summon speech bubbles around her. Whether it is to display her own thoughts or to weaponize her own words; they are something ever present with her. Each speech bubble can move around 10 meters away from her. Although she can mimic sounds she has heard in the thread up to 5 times, the amount of damage that is done by the sound depends solely on how well she can project her voice.

30 Decibel: Minimal damage or more accurately, close to none. At this level, it is around the area of a whisper and general just has the effect of mimicking the sound she heard. 

68 Decibels: Average damage, enough to knock someone back by a feet. At this level, it is around an average talking voice. It will both mimic the sound she heard and knock someone back. 

80 Decibels: Moderate damage, enough to bruise skin. At this level, she is yelling and actively trying to project her voice. While it mimics the sound she heard, it is very amplified and loud to inflict damage. 

Aside from being able to inflict damage and mimic sounds she has heard through the speech bubbles, Yoko can also project her thoughts through the speech bubbles and remain perfectly silent. Though her thoughts are visible instead, this is her primary mode of communication with people.

QUIRK DRAWBACKS: Although not a drawback persay; Yoko is painfully shy and would rather die than utter a word. Actually it's fair to say that she is terrified of her own quirk and accidentally activating it for any sort of reason against someone else. Because of her own mental blocks, she have a habit of not using her quirk to actually harm someone unless absolutely necessary.

Due to the fact she cannot turn her quirk off, she can and has on occasion, accidentally used the mimicking part of her quirk. Because of this, not all of her mimicries are intentional and they end up just being the harmless 30 Decibel version of the attack.

The speech bubbles themselves aren't immune to damage. As though they were made of paper, they can be cut, set on fire, or even doused in water to make them incapacitated. Anything 68 decibels and up is also tangible and can be blocked with a fast enough reaction speed.
